Event Navigation

Starting with a vision to bring farm-fresh yarn, roving and fleece to the urban maker, LandMade is an annual event organized by Melinda Ramsay of Lickety Spit Fibre Farm, for Upper Canada Fibreshed farm members. Part pop-up market, part maker’s circle, part celebration of all things Ontario farmed fibre, LandMade warms the urban makers soul on a cold February winter day. This is the place to buy local, raw fibre from Upper Canada Fibreshed farmer members.  All product have strict guidelines:

  • Farmer only vendors – all products come direct from the Ontario farm represented
  • Only yarns, roving, batts, fleece and pre-felt are sold; no finished products, that’s up to you dear maker.
  • All dyes are botanical, preferably grown in Ontario, and clearly labeled
  • All vendors are farm members of the Upper Canada Fibreshed
  • Entry is free

If you are a maker, we encourage you to join us for a coffee and bring your spinning wheel, knitting needles or other fibre tools of choice for a gathering of kindred spirits.
